Webinars

I was going to through my files and found live recording of one of the first webinars I did. I think there were over 20 people who paid to attend the webinar. I must admit I was little nervous and almost called it off. But then I remember what "Tony Robbins" said "If I can't do it, then I  MUST do it! That's the only way I will grow!'. I am so glad I listened to "Tony". Since then I have done over 100 webinars topics covering from photography, website, branding, marketing and so on.

Now, when I do a webinar, it is so fun and we have a B-L-A-S-T!!! We laugh, goof off and we learn boat load of stuff. If you are thinking of doing webinars and you are a little unsure about it, just watch the video below of one of my first webinars:

Now here is a video when I do webinars now:

If I can go from first video to second video, then so can you. I strongly believe if you put your mind into it then you can achieve anything!!!!

Moved To New York

Last week I moved to New York from Maryland. Since moving here, I feel like I am starting from scratch. I don’t know a lot of people. I don’t have any clientele. I don’t have any business contacts. I have nada!!!

Now, I am discovering starting from scratch is a BIG challenge!!! But once a friend told me, with new challenges comes new opportunities!!!

So, I am really stoked about all the new opportunities I will have in New York. To get things started I went to “Networking Event For Wedding Industry” which was held at Tonic (http://tonicbarnyc.com) last night.

I loved Tonic!!! The staff was very friendly. The lighting in there was amazing I thought. On top of that, they had HUGE TVs. They put the ice hockey game on and one point during the game the two players were fighting. Some people (there must have been over 100 people) stopped and watch them fight. I was one of those people. It was like we got 2 for the price of one. Fighting and Networking. How cool is that?

Some of the people that I met there, they were – dance instructor, pastry chef, videographer, smart phone app developer for brides (no need to send invitations anymore just send app links. I thought that was very creative idea because brides can get instant responses!!! The best part about the apps is that brides can create their own unique apps.), and so no.

So, if someone asks me “Mark Kumar do you know a dance instructor, pastry chef, videographer, app developer, and so on”, I would say I sure do here is their info. I am sure that they would do the same.

I guess my friend was right about – “with new challenges comes new opportunities”.  If I hadn’t gone to this networking event, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to meet with all those wonderful people whom I can exchange referrals with. I am really looking forward to attending many more networking events soon.

Indian Driving

I showed this video to my friend and he was like “Holy…Moly… I can’t believe people drive like this in India”.

When I use to live in India, I thought this was normal driving and everyone drove like this. If they can pass someone without getting into an accident, what’s wrong with that? As you can clearly see from the video, people do stop when they see someone coming towards them while they try to cut someone else. I guess following the rules of being polite is better then following traffic rules…. Ha Ha… just kidding.

When I moved to New York, I realized that not everyone drives like people in India do. Although New York drivers have a reputation of driving creatively at times, but they do actual follow the traffic rules!!! Few years later, I found out that Indian drivers make New York drivers look like “Gods”!!!

After being in the USA for few years and driving in different states, I went back to India to visit my family. While I was there I wanted to visit my aunt in a different state then where I was staying at (New Delhi), so I ask my cousin to drive me to her house. He said “You can take my car and drive yourself there”. I said “Yeah…. I don’t think that’s a good idea”. He said “you do know how to drive, right?” I said “Yeah but I don’t think I can drive here. I am afraid that I might get into an accident not because it was my fault but someone might just hit me”. He starts laughing and said “come on you chicken… I will take you”.

My Lunch With Shankar

Today I had lunch with a really good friend of mine – Shankar. He is a graph guru who creates custom websites. I can't recommend him enough. You should definitely check out his work (http://www.astagramstudios.com).

I think it's definitely good to have friends in different industries. That way you can get together and bounce different ideas of each other and see how each of you can help one another.

Over lunch that's what we did. We talked about different business and marketing ideas. Come to find out that we use one of the same marketing technique. Go figure…. who knew…. I didn't!

Before we left, we talked about working on a project together. With his graphic skills and my programming/photography skills. This project is going to be A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! I am very excited about this project!!!

I would highly recommend you making friends with people from different industries. You never know when your skills could be used to work on a project together.

LimitLess Man

After watching the movie “Limitless” and learning that we humans only use 20% of our brain, I started thinking what if there R-E-A-L-L-Y was a “pill” that will allow me to access 100% of my brain. How AWESOME would that be?
